Dashboard Overview

Learn to navigate the MA²D dashboard and understand the main interface components.

Dashboard Layout

When you first login, you’ll see the MA²D dashboard with these main areas:

Top Header

Logo and Navigation

  • MA²D Logo (top-left) - Click to return to dashboard
  • Always visible across all pages
  • Global Search - Search across all your assets
  • Search by name, description, or tags
  • Results show MCP servers, Agent Cards, and tools
  • Press / keyboard shortcut to focus search

Organization Switcher

  • Shows your current organization name
  • Click to switch between organizations (if member of multiple)
  • Displays organization icon/avatar

Profile Menu

Click your profile icon to access:

  • Profile Settings - Update your information
  • Account Settings - Password, email preferences
  • API Tokens - Generate tokens for API access
  • Logout - Sign out of MA²D

The sidebar contains the main sections of MA²D:

Access your Model Context Protocol servers:

  • View all MCP servers
  • Create new servers
  • Manage tools, resources, and prompts
  • Test endpoints
  • Check compliance status

🤖 Agent Cards

Manage your Agent-to-Agent specifications:

  • View all Agent Cards
  • Create new cards
  • Define skills and capabilities
  • Configure input/output modes
  • Test interactions

✅ Design Rules

Configure quality and compliance rules:

  • View active design rules
  • Set compliance thresholds
  • Customize rule severity
  • View compliance reports
  • Organization-wide settings

📤 Publishing

Manage Anypoint Exchange integration:

  • Configure Anypoint credentials
  • Publish assets to Exchange
  • Track publication status
  • Manage versions
  • Update published assets

Main Content Area

Welcome Panel

When you first login, you’ll see a welcome message with:

  • Getting Started Guide - Quick links to tutorials
  • What’s New - Recent updates and features
  • Tips & Tricks - Best practices

You can dismiss this panel after reviewing.

Prominent buttons for common tasks:

  • + Create MCP Server - Start designing a new server
  • + Create Agent Card - Build a new Agent Card
  • Import from URL - Import existing MCP endpoint
  • Import OpenAPI - Convert OpenAPI spec

Recent Activity

Shows your recent work:

  • Recently Modified - Assets you’ve edited
  • Recently Created - New assets
  • Recently Published - Published to Exchange
  • Click any item to open it

Statistics Dashboard

Key metrics about your workspace:

MCP Servers

  • Total servers created
  • Active/enabled servers
  • Compliance score average
  • Tools count

Agent Cards

  • Total cards created
  • Skills defined
  • Published cards

Activity

  • API calls this month
  • Assets published
  • Team members active

Keyboard Shortcuts

Speed up your workflow:

  • / - Focus search
  • C - Create new asset (context-aware)
  • Esc - Close modals/panels
  • ? - Show keyboard shortcuts help

Track your location:

  • Shows your current path
  • Click any breadcrumb to go back
  • Always visible below the header

Quick Switch

Navigate quickly between assets:

  • Press Cmd/Ctrl + K to open quick switch
  • Type to filter assets
  • Arrow keys to navigate
  • Enter to open

MCP Servers Section

Server List View

When you click “MCP Servers”, you’ll see:

List Columns:

  • Name - Server name and icon
  • Status - Draft, Published, Archived
  • Version - Current version number
  • Tools - Number of tools defined
  • Compliance - Score (0-100%)
  • Last Modified - Timestamp
  • Actions - Edit, Test, Publish, Delete

Filters:

  • Filter by status
  • Filter by compliance level
  • Search by name
  • Sort by various fields

Bulk Actions:

  • Select multiple servers
  • Bulk enable/disable
  • Bulk delete
  • Bulk publish

Server Detail View

Click a server to see:

Tabs:

  • Overview - Basic info, description
  • Tools - Manage tools
  • Resources - Manage resources
  • Prompts - Manage prompts
  • Mock Scenarios - Test data
  • Compliance - Design rules status
  • Endpoints - MCP endpoint URLs
  • Settings - Server configuration

Actions:

  • Edit server details
  • Test endpoint

Agent Cards Section

Card List View

Shows all your Agent Cards:

List Columns:

  • Name - Card name
  • Status - Draft or Published
  • Skills - Number of skills
  • Version - Current version
  • MCP Server - Associated server (if any)
  • Last Modified - Timestamp

Actions:

  • Create new card
  • Edit existing cards
  • Publish to Exchange
  • Delete cards

Card Detail View

Click a card to see:

Design Rules Section

Rules Dashboard

View and manage quality rules:

Current Status:

  • Overall compliance score
  • Active rules count
  • Violations by severity
  • Compliance trends

Rule Configuration:

  • Enable/disable rules
  • Set thresholds
  • Customize messages
  • Define exceptions

Violation Reports:

  • View all violations
  • Filter by rule type
  • Fix recommendations

Organization Settings

Profile:

  • Organization name
  • Logo/avatar

Members:

  • Invite team members

Common Tasks

Creating a New MCP Server

  1. Click “MCP Servers” in sidebar
  2. Click ”+ Add MCP Design Spec”
  3. Choose creation method:
    • Import from URL
    • Import OpenAPI
    • Create Mock
  4. Fill in details
  5. Click “Create Server”

Testing an Endpoint

  1. Open an MCP server
  2. Go to “Endpoints” tab
  3. Copy the MCP endpoint URL
  4. Use with MCP Inspector or cURL
  5. View test results

Publishing to Exchange

  1. Configure Anypoint credentials in Settings
  2. Open the asset to publish
  3. Click “Publish” button
  4. Fill in Exchange metadata
  5. Click “Publish to Exchange”
  6. Track status in Publishing section

Mobile Experience

The dashboard is responsive and works on mobile devices:

  • Navigation - Collapsible sidebar
  • Touch-Friendly - Large tap targets
  • Optimized Views - Mobile-first design
  • Offline Support - View cached data

Access MA²D on tablets and phones for on-the-go access.

Dashboard Customization

Themes

Switch between themes:

  • Light Mode - Default bright theme
  • Dark Mode - Reduced eye strain
  • System - Follow OS setting

Layout Options

Customize your view:

  • Sidebar width (drag to resize)
  • List vs Grid view for assets
  • Compact vs Comfortable density
